We wouldn't be where we are today if it was not for your sacrifice and dedication to helping us make a difference in our partnering schools. We have seen it to be true that a huge impact is being made, and believe there is more impact to come. But that more, starts with you! If you have participated in our programs, we would love to have you apply to be a part of our Clemson Hope Leadership Team. Below are the positions available. If you have any questions regarding your eligibility or the application process, please do not hesitate to reach out. POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Adopt a Classroom Director: Using the replication plan as a guide, this person is fully in charge of leading and taking initiative of Adopt a Classroom and ALL the events surrounding this program. This person will be in constant communication with the partnering school principles to gather (and constantly update) classroom numbers (& number of boys and girls) in each school. This person will be responsible for organizing and setting important dates for the following; Drop off Day, Wrap Night, and Delivery Day along with reserving storage unit and uhaul. This position requires constant communication with Communications Director & Social Media Marketing Director (for sign ups, advertisements, email assignments, etc) AND financial director (for all expenses). Ideally, applicants for this position are upperclassmen who have participated in multiple aspects of Adopt a Classroom and are prepared for this role.
Adopt a Classroom Assistant: This person will be assisting to all the needs of the Adopt a Classroom Director, specifically focusing on the physical preparations surrounding Adopt a Classroom. This person will be responsible for shopping for presents (along with the help from financial director), creating and printing box labels, present labels, & prepping boxes for Wrapping Night. Applicants for this position should be freshmen or sophomores. This is a two year commitment, and in the second year, this person takes over as Adopt a Classroom Director.
Write for Hope Assistant: This position works under the direction of the Write for Hope Director. They are responsible for gathering data through sign-up sheets both with volunteers and the schools, in conjunction with the Communications Director. They will help partner volunteers and students. It is recommended that this position is present during pick up and drop off times. This person is responsible for sending pictures of letters to volunteers who forget to pick up their letters. This position is expected to work alongside the program director and assist them with all duties that may arise. Applicants for this position should be freshmen or sophomores. This is a two year commitment, and in the second year, this person takes over as Write for Hope Director.
One-on-one / Recreational Assistant: This position will be assisting the One-on-One/Recreational Mentoring Director. The person who holds this position will be expected to help out with anything that is needed. Specifically, they will help with scheduling and communicating with mentors. This position will require a basic knowledge of excel and strong communication skills. Applicants for this position should be freshmen or sophomores. This is a two year commitment, and in the second year, this person takes over as One-on-One/Recreational Mentoring Director.
Financial Assistant: This position will be assisting the financial director, specifically focusing on the Adopt a Classroom program. This person will be responsible for reaching out to all organizations and businesses for sponsorship. They will need strong communication skills as they will need to be in constant communication with the Financial Director, Adopt a Classroom Director, and the Adopt a Classroom Assistant, in addition to sponsor organizations, businesses, and individuals. Applicants for this position should be freshmen or sophomores. This is a two year commitment, and in the second year, this person takes over as Financial Director.
Photographer/Videographer: The role of this position is to capture pictures and create videos that promote our programs/events. This role takes the initiative in being creative in their design as well as being able to communicate important messages to others. This position will work closely with the Communications Director and the Social Media/Marketing Director.
